World Around Us

Children are naturally curious and often ask profound questions about themselves and The World Around Us. In Killowen, we provide enquiry based opportunities for the children to use their senses in order to excel in their powers of observation, to be able to sort and classify, explore, predict, experiment, plan, carry out and review their work. This allows our pupils to explore and find age-appropriate answers to some of these big questions from the perspectives of Geography, History, and Science and Technology.

We are also a Global Learning School. We present our children with many open-ended opportunities to access the world around them. The children identify, through many facets of the curriculum, that their own actions can truly impact and change the world that we share.
